i just bought nightfall and i wanna use a class that uses 1 or both of these classes. are there any good pve dervish or paragon builds? thanks.

Damon66, you wish to know if there are good builds with:

x/P, x/D, D/x, P/x, D/P or P/D.

The simple answer is yes, to all of them.

You'll have to go to each profession's forum and look at the build thread for each. Then decide which build looks to you. Some builds are great, but for some its not. Only you can determine which is better, by trying them all out.

My suggestion is to decide which primary profession is good for you. Then work your way from there.

I think that he is asking whether to create a Dervish or Paragorn for PvE. in which case my answer is yes, create any of them as they're both great for PvE. the Dervish seems more popular but dont underestimate the Paragorn...
for builds you should look at the builds section either here or on wiki, there are some nice as well as some trash builds in both places...
